Audacity - I like the title

The movie Audacity in collaboration with Ray Comfort lit up in my mind issues that have been simmering in there for a while - it brought up some good points and was worthwhile watching.

The link to the movie is here (if you have not already seen it):

I do not agree fully with everything Ray Comfort presents but a few things stood out for me:

1. If you love someone you will help them, not stand back and watch them destroy themselves. (The elevator scene in the movie was a good analogy to this).
2. People can still see your attempts at helping them as attempts to hurt them (the "hijacking" car scene was excellent). It's not you, it's them - do what you can at these times.
3. Take the plank out of your own eye before you attempt to help others. (The restaurant scene, where shellfish is called an abomination in the Bible, which is true:
Lev_11:10  And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
Lev_11:11  They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcasses (sea shells etc) in abomination.
Lev_11:12  Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

If you are going to preach to someone you must cover your own back first as they will want to attack your weaknesses (if they know there are any) as what you are telling them is hurtful and scares them. They will know where hypocrisies lie in Christianity, eg. eating unclean foods (as shown above); being effeminate with clothing, long hair etc:

1Cor 6:9  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of YHUH? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.

Abusers of themselves with mankind means:
G733
ἀρσενοκοίτης
arsenokoitēs
ar-sen-ok-oy'-tace
From G730 and G2845; a sodomite: - abuser of (that defile) self with mankind.

Another issue, unfortunately, (also used by Catholics) to undermine Protestant Christians, is the Sabbath issue. Sunday is not 7th day Sabbath - it was instituted by the Catholic church - if you really believe every word of Scripture is the inspired word of YHUH, then observe the true Sabbath, maybe then you can point out other people weaknesses without coming out as too much of a fraud yourself.

One final thing that stood out in the movie for me was a statement made by Ray Comfort whilst witnessing, which I always take exception to:

"2000 years ago God became a human being, Jesus of Nazareth". Whoah, stop the bus, who's driving? If God came down to earth we'd all be in BIG trouble - "Jesus" or rather, Yahushua, the son of YHUH came down, not YHUH himself. I have covered this topic in another post - read it if you like :-)

Why Yahushua (Jesus) is not God (YHUH) http://realitytoday26.blogspot.co.za/2017/04/why-jesus-is-not-god-yahushua-is-not.html

Anyway, the movie is a good effort on a huge issue in the world today - they said they would like to have everyone watch and share it so that's what I'm doing :-) I hope it helps many, many people out there.
