I have been studying scripture lately relating to the Cherubim mentioned in
Eze 1:4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
1:5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
1:6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
1:7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.
1:8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
1:9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.
1:10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
1:11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
1:12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.
1:13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
1:14 And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.
Also mentioned as follows in
Rev 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of YHUH.
4:6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
4:7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf(ox), and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
Okay, if we look at Israel's (Jacob) parting words to the 12 tribes
Gen 49:9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
Judah would be the head of the three tribes encamped on the East side of the tabernacle during the Exodus wanderings
Gen 49:3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
Gen 49:4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
This relates to man's sin so Reuben is the face of man.
Reuben was the head of the three tribes encamped on the South of the tabernacle.
Moses said of Ephraim
Deu 33:16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
33:17 His splendour is like the firstling of his bullock (ox), and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim
Ephraim was the head of the three tribes that would encamp on the West side of the tabernacle.
Now, of the greatest interest is the following:
Gen 49:16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
Gen 49:17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
Dan was the head of the three tribes that would encamp on the North side of the tabernacle.
How is Dan the Eagle? Dan was invaded by Assyria from the North as prophesied:
Deu 28:49 YHUH shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand
Nisroch is the eagle-headed deity of Assyria as follows:
Dan was the most stiff-necked of the ten northern tribes just north of the southern kingdom as follows:
2Ki 10:29 Howbeit from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, Jehu departed not from after them, to wit, the golden calves that were in Bethel, and that were in Dan.
They would no longer recognize YHUH's temple as the centre for worship of the one true Elohim, YHUH. They were already headed to the worldly ways of Babylon.
There are numerous verses in scripture depicting YHUH's judgement coming from the North in the form of war. it would be good to do a study on that.

Of significance is the following:
Dan 7:4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

Jer_1:14 Then YHUH said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
1:15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith YHUH; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.
Without the northern ten tribes it became the southern kingdom of Judah who could now be invaded by Babylon from the North. The ten lost tribes have essentially been absorbed by the Babylon of the world. The unsaved of those will be part of the people coming against Israel to judge her in the future possibly. Now, in the same vein, if we look at events unfolding in the Ukraine invasion by Russia, I have come across a video which is concerning regarding the northern neighbors of Israel, namely Syria and Iran.
