Who is Immanuel?

I noticed in the KJV version of scripture they attribute the name Immanuel to Isaiah's son. Yet, in the Jewish Publication version it says:

: behold, the young woman shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

It is important to note that YHUH is speaking to Ahaz, the ruler of Judah at that time. Hence YHUH means Ahaz's wife will bare him a son, and that son was no other than Hezekiah!

To confirm this, it says in 2 Kings 18:6  And he clave to YHUH, he departed not from following him; and he kept his commandments, as many as he commanded Moses.

2Ki 18:7  And YHUH was with him

2Ki 18:5  He trusted in the Elohim of Israel; and after him there was not any like him among the kings of Judah, nor among those that were before him.

Hezekiah means: Strengthened of Yah

I do hope you all see the connection, because it gets better. Due to King Hezekiah's prayers and trust in YHUH 185,000 invading Assyrians were killed in overnight by Yah, which stopped the overruning Judah in Hezekiah's life-time. Also, YHUH gave 15 extra years of life to Hezekiah when he was dying of illness. Also, the shadow of the sun was turned back ten degrees in confirmation of YHUH's oath that he would heal Hezekiah. YHUH, truly, was with him.

If this still does not convince you, then let Isaiah finish off, as he speaks in prophecy to Hezekiah in the following:

Isa 8:7  Now therefore, behold, YHUH brings up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:

Isa 8:8  And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

A prophecy for the coming son, Hezekiah, ruler of the land at the time of invasion!

2 Chronicles 32:30  This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.

Cool, huh? I thought so.
