Why to be wary of Martin Luther

Having been told by my father that I am supposed to be a Lutheran according to the family background I decided to research Luther to see what the fuss is all about - I am glad I did and I am certainly not converting to Lutheranism!

Three things I have picked up - firstly, an anti-Semitic tendency (used later by Hitler) - how can you be anti-Semitic if Yahushua himself was King of the Jews?! How does anti-Semitism fit in with Christianity in any shape, form or size?

Secondly, he did not succeed in breaking away from the Catholic Church completely. This led to quasi-modo denominations of Christianity being formed in later years which led to a compromise on certain issues in the different churches which are un-Biblical, eg. Sabbath keeping. Because it was a Jewish custom Luther did not uphold to his Sola Scriptura, "the Scriptures alone" viewpoint, he compromised and kept Sunday holy instead of Sabbath (Saturday), and so the Catholic Church was victorious and was not converted to Protestantism due to this one point - the Catholics pointed out that if the Protestants were truly Scriptural they would be keeping the Sabbath, not Catholic Sunday! Fourthly, and worst of all, Luther believed in the perpetual virginity of Mary - he held onto his Catholic roots. Read here:
