What is His name, what is His son's name?
A live comedy show that I saw a snippet of recently on my computer really made me think all over again about what is wrong with false Christianity. False Christianity uses nothing more than a generic title, God, in referring to our Almighty Father, Creator of Shamayim (Heaven) and Earth, YHUH (can be pronounced Yahuah). In the show the comedian acts out a conversation between a British man and an Indian man where the British man makes a statement regarding God, whereupon the Indian man asks, which god? The British man is astounded and says, you know, God god, whereupon the Indian man proceeds to give a list of names for his gods - Krishna etc. It would seem all other religions give names to their gods. It reminded me of the verse where Paul confidently tells the polytheists of Mars Hill in Athens the following:
Act 17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
Act 17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
Act 17:24 YHUH that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Master of shamayim (heaven) and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Act 17:25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
Act 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
Act 17:27 That they should seek YHUH, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Act 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of YHUH, we ought not to think that the Almighty's sovereignty is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
Act 17:30 And the times of this ignorance YHUH winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent:
Act 17:31 Because he hath appointed a yom (day), in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Also:
Joh 4:21 Yahushua saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
Joh 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know who we worship: for salvation is of the Yahudim (meaning worshipers of Yah). **("Jews" is an inaccurate translation)
Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Why is any of this important? Well, there is this very strong verse:
Pro 30:4 Who hath ascended up into shamayim (heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is His name, and what is His son's name, if thou canst tell?
A name cannot be a generic title, god. The Almighty Creator's son's name is also not Jesus – this is a Greek transliteration of Yahushua. The true name, Yahushua, means Yah is Salvation, it is pointing once again to our Father's sovereignty. Being Yahuah's son makes it Yahushua's duty to be a builder of the name of His Father (as is expected of all firstborn sons everywhere), hence His own name points towards the sovereignty of His own Father and He lived His whole life bringing honour to His Father's name :-)
