I personally would not enjoy myself in the New Jerusalem if I knew that somewhere out there all the souls of the sinful people were burning for all eternity - I cannot imagine YHUH would allow that either. Have you ever come across anything in the Bible which shows that YHUH enjoys it when we suffer? Rather, in every instance his punishment is swift, decisive and with a definite end. I find that some Christians are really quite confused - one minute they are in the hospital with their beloved relative or friend, (who has not accepted Yahushua but is a wonderful, loving person all the same), praying that they do not suffer before death, and the next they fully believe that that same person will be burning forever for their sins and suffering eternal torment. Huh? Some Christians are really blood-thirsty if you think about it - I would not wish anybody to burn forever, I could not stand to see it. Would it not be completely unfair if people that died two thousand years ago have been burning for a full two thousand years already and how much longer until Judgement Day? Mmm, Judgement Day, that should ring a bell - Judgement Day is actually when we are judged whether we are to burn or be resurrected / quickened to eternal life. Prior to this no one burns in Hell or goes to Heaven. We are also not to pre-judge and imagine where people are going after death - that is in YHUH's hands.

For interest please read the attached which shows Sodom & Gomorrah today (not actively burning anymore even though YHUH said the smoke of their torment would rise forever and ever - it basically means the memory of what happened has never been forgotten on this earth. Also, it means that the site has never been rebuilt and never will be rebuilt forever).

Now, in the New Heaven and Earth the following will transpire:
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of YHUH is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and YHUH himself shall be with them, and be their Elohim.
Rev 21:4 And YHUH shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Please note that it says that there is no more death, crying or pain - would this not include the souls that are supposed to "burn forever"? The above words would be untrue if the tormented souls were in some isolated corner suffering and burning continually, don't you think? Another interesting thing to note is this - if Yahushua died and suffered for our sins, then why would the sinners burn forever? Did it mean nothing after all or is there some degree of mercy in YHUH's plan? Think about it.
One last thing - is it not a big enough deterrent to sinners if they are told they are not going to burn forever but that they will only burn according to their sins and will be totally destroyed in the process? The point is being lost completely - we are not to come to YHUH only through fear - we are to love Yahushua and YHUH with all our heart and we are to want to please and obey them both through love. YHUH does not want us to come to Him through coercion and fear - YHUH so loved the world He gave His only son - can we not reciprocate His love? If the only way people will be brought to YHUH is through fear, then who needs them?
