I became most interested in this subject when I was told that a relative's child says in her prayers every night to YHUH "Good night Jesus, Good Night Michael Jackson" I remembered verse John 3:13 "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven." It means that Michael Jackson is not there (doubt if he ever will be), and neither is anyone else from this earth at this stage prior to Judgement Day. A friend of mine was also most offended recently when I did not agree that her father is currently watching her from Heaven and she can somehow pray to let him know how she is doing. I was wary as I went through the loss of my mother myself and I know how easy it is to want to hold on and imagine the person you love everywhere with you, watching you, talking to them etc. The Bible clearly says you are not to talk to the dead, it is akin to witchcraft, sorcery etc. Yahushua was quite dismissive of the dead himself where he stated in Mat 8:22 "Let the dead bury the dead", which alludes to the people who are less spiritually awake who will be more concerned with all that goes on with the dead as they are focusing more on things of this earth. It is not spiritually healthy to focus on the dead too much - they are in YHUH's hands and you are to let them go with faith in YHUH.
This is, of course, a very controversial subject but after reading extensively I found the following article, the most convincing due to its complete coverage of the topic...
